I pointed the gun at him, at Advik Agnihotri, my love, my husband, my venator, at his arm to be precise, only for him to hold the nozzle and press it into his chest. "You haven't done anything to him. Have you?" My words faltered, my voice almost inaudible, fear gripping my senses. A haunting silence lingered between us. Did he kill him? Did he end everything? Is anything left except fragments of us? "Shoot, Rose," he said before capturing my lips in a ferocious kiss.

Wrapping his palm around my neck, he pushed my head behind and said, "Don't you dare call yourself that again, ever, moya lyubov'. Do you understand?" A moan escaped my mouth as his lips moved towards my shoulders.
